WINE TO SUIT THE PALETTE

Besides being known for our extensive beer list, the British Bulldog has slowly been putting together a wine list that should more than hold its own among connoisseurs of the ’grape’. The Long Boat Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand boasts clearly defined aromas and flavors of green plums and passion fruit with just a hint of lime. The Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling is a dry, crisp wine with beautiful ripe peach and apricot aromas Hyland Chardonnay from Australia gives you plenty of bang for your buck with its hazelnut and soft vanilla aromas. The Satori Pinot Grigio combines dry crispness with balancing acidity to produce a wine perfect for parties or as an aperitif. Casal Garcia is a slightly effervescent, invigorating Rose which is a real treat in warm weather. Our House BV Chardonnay and Merlot offer a superb value for the budget conscious, and will be offered as a special on Wednesdays.

European Soccer At The Pub

With the outside temperatures soaring, it’s hard to think that before you know it the European soccer season will kick off. August 13th sees the start of a brand new season. Will Man Utd repeat? How will Chelsea fair under new boss Villas-Boras? A resurgent Liverpool under King Kenny Dalglish are aiming to spoil the predictions and collect some silverware, and let’s not forget about the newly promoted QPR, Norwich and Swansea. They will be aiming to prove that they belong in the top flight of English soccer.. It is going to be a fantastic season. As Usual the British Bulldog will show all televised games. Besides the EPL, We will have all the televised Serie A games from Italy, La Ligue from Spain, and the Bundesleagua from Germany. Besides the domestic leagues, we will continue to show the UEFA Champions League games and the Europa Cup. Who will forget the atmosphere earlier this year when Barcelona defeated Man Utd 3-1 in the Champions league final. Served with house-made tartar sauce, “chips” that you’ll recognize as starchy American steakhouse fries (which go nicely with HP sauce, a British condiment made with malt vinegar, molasses and tamarind), and your choice of beans or mushy peas.
